June 21st, 2017, the undergraduate graduation and awarding ceremony of college of Geoscience and Environmental Engineering was hold in conference room 320 on the third floor of the four canteen. 296 undergraduates have ushered in a solemn and sacred moment in life.

Dean Liu Guoxiang, Professor Wang Qirong, Vice Dean Hu Xiewen, Vice Dean Qi Hua, Chair Wu Xiyong, Chair Yuan Linguo, Chair Zhao Rui, Chair Zhang Yuchun, and faculty members of Fire Engineering, Research and Mapping, Geological Engineering and Environmental Engineering as well as class instructors and counselors attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided by Fu Yugang, Deputy secretary of Geoscience College party committee.

The graduation ceremony was kicked off in the solemn national anthem. Fu Yugang first expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the 2017-year-old graduates, thanked the teachers, parents and staffs who had helped students learn for four years, and introduced the leaders and guests attending the ceremony.

Dean Liu Guoxiang first expressed warm congratulations and heartfelt blessing to the graduates, he said, four years of all the students have achieved, four years of time let you give the courtyard left the most beautiful "geoscience memory", these memory will always be cherished. Liu Guoxiang gave a three-point message to the graduates: one is to forget beginner, to move forward, so that the ideal serves as the direction of life; the second is to persevere, strive to forge ahead, let the strive become the eternal value of life; the third is to be grateful to the people who helped, know how to cherish, so that good deeds and thanksgiving is the essence of life creed. Finally, Liu Guoxiang wish the 2017 graduates to have a heart as a teenager, remember "do not forget your primary goals", understand "beginning is easy, keep is difficult", I hope to see graduates of 2017 to achieve their dream, but do not forget to go back and visit the university.

Professor Zhao Rui hopes every graduate to grasp the youth, persist in learning, to be a good person; I hope every graduate will be thankful, regardless of the vicissitudes of mind to remember the help of everyone. Time in a hurry, whether or not the future is rugged, I wish you can rest assured to fly, brave to chase, to pursue their unfinished dream.

Students on behalf of the former student union president Liu Yanhui said, entered the University of every has the “the first time”. With four years of the hurried time, many things became has become the second, the third time….. The four years study made people from green to mature, today is about to depart. Liu Yanhui thanked the university to give a good platform, thanked the college to give a good education, and wished schoolmates have a bright future.

Hu Xiewen, deputy dean of the Geoscience Academy Committee, read out the decision. he degree Evaluation committee of the Southwest Jiaotong University has passed the evaluation, and decided to grant bachelor's degrees to 265 graduates from 2017 undergraduate such as Ren Haoran in the Earth Science and Environmental Engineering College, and 31 bachelor degree such as Tian Songhui.

The awarding ceremony officially started, the first is the excellent student representative awarding ceremony, dean Liu Guoxiang awarded Liu Yanhui, Zhang Chi, Wang Yating, Liang Kangkang, Voulon, Liu Ai, Wang Jia, Wen Haiyan, Zhang Jiaqi, Wang Qian, Gu Haixiao, Zeng Qin, Li Xudong and other 12 outstanding graduate representatives a bachelor's degree. Then, the leadership and teachers awarded bachelor degrees to 2017 graduates.
