On November 3, SWJTU-OSU Lab Opening Ceremony was inaugurated successfully in the Lab building 1, Emei campus. President assistant professor Wang xiao ru, Director of International Department Ren xinhong, Dean of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering School Dr. Liu, Vice Dean Professor Che, Students’ counselors and all the students from SWJTU-OSU attended the ceremony.

Before the opening ceremony, the dean Professor Liu accompanied President assistant professor Wang xiaoru and director Ren xinhong to visit the basic laboratory of combustion science, hydraulics and fire water supply laboratory. All the participants watched the publicity video of Southwest Jiaotong University rail transportation in the newly built virtual simulation laboratory.

At ten o 'clock in the morning, the opening ceremony officially began. The President assistant professor Wang Xiaoru delivered a speech to welcome the arrival of the teachers and students, expressing sincere thanks to all the teachers who participated in the construction of lab. At the same time, she hoped the students can learn knowledge, make good use of superior conditions and make well preparation for the future study in OSU.

Dean Liu guoxiang described the overall situation, and he addressed all the teachers who have devoted for the construction of the laboratory in the joint program.

Secretary Wang qirong introduced the early work,= and described the details of the laboratory from investment to construction. The students listened carefully.

Vice dean Che wei introduced the construction of the laboratory. He said that the laboratory can provide you with a more professional platform that is in line with international standards. He hoped that students can cherish and make full use of it.Associate professor Chen junmin briefly introduced the course construction. He said that now the OSU project is progressing smoothly and the students should have a strong learning atmosphere.

At eleven o 'clock in the morning, the communication meeting between young teachers and students officially began.

The teacher warned the students they should take the initiative to think about how to make a choice, rather than blindly follow the parents. Everyone should have the sense of choice and express their true ideas with courage. Everyone want to be the best of they can be, so learn to think by yourself instead of being told how to do it. After Hearing this, the students were silently immersed in reflecting. Professor Che said the university is very important, but for most of the students, knowledge is very fuzzy because they don't know how to apply them to use. He suggest that they should learn to seize the opportunity to participate in competitions of all kinds of competition, learn how to communicate with the teacher, and improve their practical ability.

After that, the football competition between teachers and students began. The persistence and tacit cooperation shown in the competition made the students appreciate the cooperative spirit and understand that tacit understanding between teammates. The football match was started on the principle of enhancing the friendship between teachers and students, and finally the theme was perfectly interpreted.

In the end, the ceremony ,communication meeting and football game were successfully held.
