UNESCO-Chair on Geoenvironmental Disaster Reduction International Collaboration Unit Certificate

Based on the long-term and extensive international cooperation foundation of the Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering and ICGdR (see the following major events in international cooperation in recent years:), in March 2017, President Liu Guoxiang signed a letter of support and commitment as a collaborating unit to support the Shimane University and ICGdR as the chairman institutions to establish UNESCO-Chair on Geoenvironmental Disaster Reduction. The project was officially approved in October 2017, marking the Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering as a collaborative unit for the project.

Based on the UNESCO-Chair project platform, extensive and in-depth international cooperation will be carried out between the collaborating units, which will effectively promote the process of the Internationalization Model Academy of the Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering. At present, the Faculty and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office are vigorously promoting the signing of academic and student exchange agreements between Southwest Jiaotong University and Shimane University.

Major events in international cooperation in recent years:
